Welcome to Artila Robotics Inc. ("Artila," "we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you:

  • Use our robot and software ("Robot" and "Software")
  • Access our applications, services, or customer portals (collectively, the "Services")

By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Services.

This Privacy Policy supplements the Master Sale and Services Agreement ("MSSA") between Artila Robotics Inc. and our business customers ("Customer").

Capitalized terms used but not defined in this Privacy Policy (for example, ‘Customer Data,’ ‘Authorized Users,’ ‘End Users,’ and ‘Pilot Period’) have the meanings given in the Master Sale and Services Agreement between Artila Robotics Inc. and the Customer (MSSA). ‘Customer Data’ has the meaning given in the MSSA and includes personal information collected by or through the Robot and Software.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide to Us

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, company name, business address, job title, and login credentials.
  • Purchase and Billing Information: Payment card details (processed by our third-party payment processors), billing address, purchase history, and tax identification numbers.
  • Communications: Information you provide when contacting customer support, as well as feedback, survey responses, and feature requests.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Robot Usage Data: Operational telemetry, performance metrics, diagnostics, Robot location data (GPS), sensor readings, error logs, and system status.
  • Video and Audio Data: Images, video, and audio captured by Robot sensors and cameras during operation for navigation, obstacle detection, and operational purposes.
  • Device and Network Information: IP addresses, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, and network connection data.
  • Website Analytics: Pages viewed, time spent on site, navigation paths, and information collected via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 8).

C. Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from business partners, service providers, publicly available sources, and social media platforms (if you interact with our accounts).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and Improve Services: Operate and maintain the Robot and Software, process orders, provide customer support, and send service-related communications.
  • Product Development and Innovation: Develop, test, and improve our products, train and enhance our AI models, and conduct research and analytics.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure the safe operation of Robot, monitor for security threats, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations and our Terms of Service.
  • Business Operations: Analyze usage patterns, send marketing communications (with your consent), and manage business relationships.

3.A. Processing of Customer Data

As set forth in the MSSA, Customer grants Artila a limited license to use and Process Customer Data only as necessary to provide the Robot, Software, and Services. Artila may also use aggregated and de-identified Customer Data for its internal business purposes, including for analytics and product improvement, provided such data cannot reasonably be used to identify the Customer or any individual.

4. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers and Partners: With third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, payment processing, and analytics. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information.
  • Business Transfers: If Artila is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to comply with legal processes, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Artila, our users, or others.
  • With Your Consent: We may share information with third parties when you have given us explicit consent to do so.
  • Aggregated or De-Identified Data: We may share aggregated or anonymized data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

4.A. Subprocessors: Artila engages subprocessors to provide cloud hosting, analytics, payment processing and other services. We will maintain a list of subprocessors, make that list available to Customers if required. 

5. Video and Audio Data Collection

  1. Notice of Recording

The Robot may record video, audio, and images of the surrounding environment during operation. If you deploy a Robot, you are responsible for providing notice and obtaining any required consents from individuals who may be recorded, as set forth in the MSSA.

  1. Use of Recorded Data

Video and audio data is used to enable autonomous navigation, monitor performance, provide operational insights, safety reviews, and product improvement and improve our AI models.

  1. Retention and Access

Video/audio data is retained for the period necessary (typically 30–90 days unless flagged) to fulfill operational purposes and may be permanently deleted after retention periods expire, unless a longer period is required by law.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, and support business operations. Typical retention periods include:

  • Account information: Duration of your account plus a period required for legal or accounting purposes.
  • Video/audio recordings: 30-90 days (unless flagged for a safety or operational review).

When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., California), you may have rights to:

  • Access and Portability: Request access to your personal information.
  • Correction and Deletion: Correct inaccurate information or request deletion of your data.
  • Opt-Out: Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense.

To request the deletion of Customer Data, the Customer must submit a verified request to privacy@artilarobotics.com. We will process the request in accordance with the MSSA’s requirements and applicable law.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, analyze site usage, and improve security. Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may limit your ability to use certain features.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

9.A. Security Breach Notification: We will notify affected Customers without undue delay and, where required by law, within 14 days of becoming aware of a personal data breach that is likely to result in risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals. Notification will include available information about scope, impact, and mitigation steps.

10. International Data Transfers

Artila Robotics is based in the United States. By using our Services, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. We implement appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Controller and Processor Roles

For Customer Data provided by or collected on behalf of the Customer in connection with the Robots and Services, the Customer generally acts as the data controller, determining the purposes and means of the data processing. Artila acts as a data processor when performing services on behalf of the Customer under the MSSA.

Where Artila collects personal data for its own business purposes (for example, for website analytics, marketing, or employee data), Artila will be the data controller for that specific information.

12. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (like web beacons) to help operate our website, analyze performance, and for marketing purposes.

  • Essential Cookies: These are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off.
